About the position

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sales Development Representative to play a crucial role in building relationships and generating leads for our North American Government Sales organization. This position is pivotal in our mission to help customers achieve safety and security through our comprehensive suite of products. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for following up on leads and building a robust pipeline for our sales team. This is a pipeline role, meaning that while there may not be an immediate opening, we are eager to connect with prospective candidates who align with our requirements for future opportunities. Your contributions will directly impact our growth and the lives of those we serve, as we strive to provide mission-critical communications devices and networks, AI-powered video security, and integrated command center solutions. In this role, you will engage with potential customers through various channels, educating them on the value of our solutions and driving interest in initial conversations. You will be expected to run call cadences, utilizing an automated dialer, to effectively communicate our value propositions. Building rapport with prospects through targeted questions will be essential in identifying opportunities and understanding their needs. Collaboration with experienced sales professionals will be key as you work to develop stakeholder interest and re-engage lapsed leads, particularly as we introduce new product features. Your ability to record interactions and maintain accurate records within our CRM will be critical to your success. This position is hybrid, requiring four days a week in our Salt Lake City, UT office, allowing for a blend of in-person collaboration and remote work flexibility. Responsibilities

  • Run call cadences (with support of an automated dialer) to educate our future customers on the value our solutions bring and drive interest in an initial conversation.
  • Ask smart, targeted questions to build rapport with our prospects and identify opportunities.
  • Focus on targeted outbound list.
  • Collaborate with seasoned sales professionals within a territory you support to find, develop and build key stakeholder interest, and crystalize the needs of the organization across multiple customer profiles and buyer groups.
  • Re-engage lapsed and long-term leads as we introduce new product features with a focus on bringing them back into the funnel.
  • Record prospect interactions and update records within our CRM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR 1+ years of sales/customer service experience.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions via phone, video, email, and other various social networking platforms.
  • Detail oriented, take exceptional meeting/activity notes, and effective in task and time management.
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and results driven.
  • Willing and able to contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
