About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at pc/nametag, you will play a crucial role in fostering strong relationships with potential customers. Your primary responsibility will be to quickly identify customer needs and offer tailored consultations on pc/nametag's solutions to drive revenue growth. This position requires a strategic approach to advancing leads through the sales pipeline, which includes scheduling meetings, diligently following up, and monitoring progress towards achieving sales revenue goals. You will be part of a supportive and upbeat team that values collaboration and innovation, working in a hybrid environment after training, which requires you to be in the office two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Your daily activities will involve connecting with customers via email, phone, and online meetings, where you will apply cross-selling and up-selling techniques while providing exceptional customer service. You will execute outbound lead generation campaigns, including product consultations, follow-ups, and re-engagement of lapsed customers. Utilizing SPIN selling skills, you will effectively engage with customers and ensure a smooth handoff of order processing to the customer service team. You will also collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for achieving sales targets, dedicating approximately 90% of your time to lead nurturing activities and 10% to prospecting new customers. Responsibilities

  • Connect with customers daily via email, phone, and online meetings.
  • Identify customer needs and apply cross-selling and up-selling techniques while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Execute outbound lead generation campaigns, including product consultations, Year-Over-Year follow-ups, samples, re-engagement of lapsed customers, and tradeshow leads.
  • Use SPIN selling skills and techniques to effectively engage with customers.
  • Accurately enter notes to ensure a smooth handoff of order processing to the customer service team.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of products and services to confidently address customer questions and advance them in the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for achieving sales targets.
  • Work independently and as part of the team, making outbound calls daily.
  • Achieve individual sales goals and contribute to overall team objectives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of strong customer service background, ideally in a contact center environment.
  • 2+ years of proven track record in sales and prospecting, preferred.
  • Comfortable working at your computer throughout the day.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP order entry systems.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
  • Demonstrated tenacity in lead generation and strategic outreach.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage past orders to cross-sell and suggest new products.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to quickly develop a rapport with customers with a professional and friendly attitude.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions and understand concerns.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for client visits and to exhibit at tradeshows (up to 15%).
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8am to 5pm.
