About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Emergent LLC plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by being knowledgeable about the company's processes and assisting assigned sales representatives throughout the sales cycle. This position involves managing the company's customer database, creating quotes, processing orders, and performing various tasks that align with the Subscription Support team's sales goals, particularly focusing on quote requests. The Sales Specialist is expected to utilize professional sales and customer service techniques to fulfill work requirements and maintain regular communication with the sales team's management and counterparts while completing sales tasks. Additionally, this role may extend support to other sales departments and marketing coverage needs as required. In this position, the Sales Development Representative will be responsible for researching the market and generating leads through call blitzes and promotional campaigns that align with company initiatives. They will support the sales team's efforts to secure business by employing competitive sales techniques and leveraging their knowledge of the company's products and services. Understanding and adhering to established sales policies and procedures is essential to ensure effective treatment of customers. The representative will also provide administrative support by generating reports, logging support tickets, and processing deals for assigned representatives, as well as other projects as needed. The role requires the creation of sales quotes as requested by sales, management, and solicitation responses. The Sales Development Representative will utilize the internal customer relationship management (CRM) system to create and copy sales opportunities, update existing opportunities, document transaction history, and process sales orders. They will also be responsible for providing information and following up with customers as requested, attending customer calls, and participating in forecast calls with manufacturers as required. Other job tasks in support of the sales team will be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Create sales quotes as required by sales, Management, and solicitation responses.

  • Provide information and/or follow up with customers as requested.
  • Attend customer calls as well as forecasts calls with the manufacturer as required.
  • Perform other job tasks in support of the sales team, as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years' experience providing administrative support in sales environment or previous customer services experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Reliable and professional demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
