About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Pacific Energy Concepts (PEC) is responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting the sales team in driving sales growth. This role involves cold calling potential clients, nurturing relationships, and managing the sales funnel. The SDR will work closely with Sales Directors and Engineers to create high-quality sales opportunities and utilize CRM tools to track activities and streamline processes.

Responsibilities

  • Generates new business and leads on an ongoing basis.
  • Works to find new sales leads through ZoomInfo, business directories, industry verticals, and Google Earth.
  • Collects sales data to track effectiveness of outreach efforts and adjusts approach to improve results.
  • Understands and communicates incentive programs/offerings to customers when appropriate.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database/CRM.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Maintains a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods.
  • Supports senior sales teams and sales representatives on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts.
  • Monitors and attends meetings with prospects while handling introductions and follow-up with sales representatives.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for new business prospects and determines the next steps for each prospect moving forward.
  • Establishes active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings.
  • Collaborates with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years experience in B2B sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite & Auditing software or committed to mastering necessary tools.
  • Must have a valid insurable Driver's License.
