About the position

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at TriNet, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying sales opportunities. This role is crucial in generating new business and will provide a solid foundation for a successful sales career within a reputable company that supports small to midsize businesses (SMBs).

Responsibilities

  • Secure meetings with decision makers to create high-quality sales opportunities for the field sales team.
  • Connect with prospects through phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn to gauge interest.
  • Make approximately 80 cold calls daily to potential clients.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and conduct routine check-ins with Sales Consultants for feedback.
  • Develop and execute follow-up strategies for prospects who were previously uninterested or did not buy.
  • Share successful sales strategies with peers based on personal experiences.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 0-1 years of experience in sales prospecting and research.
  • Articulate and persuasive written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to grow through discomfort and seek coaching feedback.
  • Strong work ethic and self-drive.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Excellent active-listening skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of rejection.
  • Enjoys collaboration with internal and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, with experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred).
