About the position

Pelican Int'l is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic team in Clearwater, FL. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at approximately $40,000 per year, with the potential to earn up to $70,000 annually through commissions and bonuses. The role is pivotal in driving sales and expanding our customer base, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom products sector. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for making over 100 calls daily to identify and qualify leads, emphasizing the features of our products to demonstrate how they can solve customer problems. This position not only offers a solid starting salary but also presents ample opportunities for advancement into roles such as Account Manager, where you can further increase your earnings without any ceiling on your potential income. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues across various sectors, maintain contact lists, and follow up with customers to nurture relationships. Responsibilities

  • Make multiple calls and emails daily to find qualified leads.
  • Most of the day will be making sales calls.
  • Assign qualified leads to Account Managers.
  • Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion.
  • Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems.
  • Answer questions about the products.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors.
  • Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to nurture relationships.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year previous sales experience.
  • Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs.
  • Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network.
  • Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers.
  • Experience in building materials is a plus!
