About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is designed for a passionate and driven individual who will play a crucial part in identifying and nurturing potential leads within the heavy-duty truck repair industry. The SDR will work closely with the sales team to convert leads into qualified opportunities, ultimately driving revenue growth for the company. This position requires a proactive approach to outreach and a strong understanding of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and research potential customers within the heavy-duty truck repair and parts industry.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to generate qualified leads.
  • Engage with prospects through various channels, including phone calls, emails, social media, and industry events.
  • Make a minimum of 100 outbound calls each day with the goal of 2 hours of talk time with prospective customers.
  • Qualify leads by understanding their business needs and aligning them with our product offerings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead interactions and progression records in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads and support the sales process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to effectively position our products.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams to improve lead-generation strategies and product features.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in business-to-business (B2B) products and services in an outbound sales call center (cold calling experience is a must).
  • Proven experience in sales development, preferably within the heavy-duty truck repair or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of the heavy-duty truck repair industry and its challenges is a plus.
  • Prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills to meet sales goals.
  • Strong communication skills, excellent customer service, competitive drive, and initiative skills are desired.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with potential customers.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using CRM software (SalesForce) and other sales tools to manage and track leads.
  • Proficient skills using Microsoft Office Applications.
