As a Sales Development Representative, you will be at the forefront of our expansion efforts, driving growth by capturing and nurturing leads. In this role, you will generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach. You will conduct initial outreach to potential clients to assess their needs and determine the potential for partnership. Additionally, you will schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and senior sales executives, maintaining and updating customer information in our CRM system (HubSpot). Working closely with the marketing team, you will refine messaging and tactics based on market feedback while monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation or improvements in our sales approach. Your day-to-day activities will include reaching out to a set number of leads each day through various communication channels, tracking and analyzing response rates, and preparing reports on sales activities. You will collaborate with team members to enhance lead generation strategies and execute sales campaigns, regularly meeting with the sales team to align on goals and strategies. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager/Directors and plays a crucial role in the sales team, being key to building the initial contact and setting the stage for further sales discussions, directly impacting the company's growth and success in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach.
  • Conduct initial outreach to potential clients to assess their needs and determine the potential for partnership.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and senior sales executives.
  • Maintain and update customer information in our CRM system (HubSpot).
  • Work closely with the marketing team to refine messaging and tactics based on market feedback.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation or improvements in our sales approach.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry networking events to promote company products and services.
  • Assist in the creation and optimization of sales collateral and presentations.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and potential product enhancements.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on industry standards and sales techniques.

Requirements

  • Experience with CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Knowledge of the construction equipment industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
