About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at Kami, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our innovative digital classroom platform. Kami is an award-winning education startup based in Auckland, New Zealand, and we are proud to support over 40 million users worldwide, empowering students and assisting teachers in their educational journeys. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic and diverse team spread across various countries, including the USA, South Africa, Europe, and Brazil. In this role, you will focus on outbound selling efforts targeting K-12 school districts in the United States. Your responsibilities will include engaging with potential clients through various channels such as email, phone, and virtual meetings. You will work closely with the Head of Sales Development and assigned Account Executives to develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan, ensuring that multiple outreach cadences are running simultaneously. This collaborative approach will help refine our outbound sales process and enhance our overall effectiveness in reaching educational institutions. As a Sales Development Representative, you will become an expert in Kami's offerings, confidently engaging with stakeholders from K-12 school districts. Your goal will be to set up daily meetings for the assigned Account Executives and demonstrate Kami's capabilities virtually to generate interest and excitement about our platform. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to travel to state and national education conferences, further expanding your network and promoting Kami's mission to transform education for the 21st century.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on Kami's outbound selling motion (email, phone, virtual) to K-12 school districts in the US.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales Development and assigned Account Executives to create and execute a territory plan with multiple cadences running simultaneously.
  • Strategize with sales leadership and peers to refine our outbound sales process.
  • Become a Kami expert and confidently engage K-12 school district stakeholders.
  • Set daily meetings for assigned Account Executives.
  • Demo Kami, virtually, to generate interest.
  • Travel to state and national education conferences.

Requirements

  • Mid-level sales experience, preferably in SaaS.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to teach and explain complex concepts simply.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the education sector or with K-12 institutions.
  • Familiarity with digital classroom tools and technologies.
