About the position

The Sales Development Representative will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of the Aftermarket business at Markem-Imaje. This position involves managing existing customer relationships while also qualifying new leads for the machine sales team. The role is primarily focused on inside sales, requiring strong account management and sales qualification skills to drive business growth in the UK market.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with customers for Aftermarket business.
  • Proactive interactions from onboarding to installed base refresh.
  • Set appointments and visit customers when required.
  • Support customers with consumable forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities for new business within assigned accounts and recover lost business/customers.
  • Contractual services and consumable aftermarket quoting/offering/renewing.
  • Proactive coordination with sales/technical departments.
  • Work towards KPI's and achieve quarterly sales quotas.
  • Run reports and perform analysis to drive sales actions.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within your assigned territory, utilising various prospecting methods such as telephone calls, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Work closely with End user Sales team in a defined geographic area to progress lead opportunities.
  • Qualify sales leads generated from marketing campaigns and establish genuine relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead discovery conversations with prospects on behalf of our Account Managers to unearth challenges and growth opportunities in both new and existing accounts.

Requirements

  • Proven inside sales experience.
  • Good selling skills over the phone/video.
  • Knowledge of consultative sales techniques and value selling.
  • Knowledge of lead qualification methods i.e. BANT, MEDDIC etc.
  • Experience working with Microsoft tools (Excel and PowerPoint) & Salesforce (or similar CRM).
  • Ability to manage your time and workload effectively.
  • SAP (SD Module), a plus.
  • Driven, customer oriented and used to work under pressure.
