About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at a growing software development company in Annapolis, MD focuses on generating high-quality B2B sales leads and prospects. The SDR will engage in both inbound and outbound communications to qualify leads, set up demonstrations, and maintain an organized database of prospects, contributing to the overall growth of the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Inbound and outbound lead qualification and research
  • Develop new business opportunities through telephone and email communications
  • Set-up demonstrations in designated sales territories
  • Identify key buying influencers to determine budget and timeline
  • Enter qualification data in Marketing CRM system (Outreach)
  • Develop and run reports based on results
  • Build and maintain an organized database of leads and prospects

Requirements

  • Must have or be pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Enthusiastic team player with exceptional computer and communication skills
  • Must possess working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities and/or projects
  • Driven and resourceful in finding accurate and current information via telephone & internet

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B lead generation a plus
