About the position

Swimlane is seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales development team in Denver, CO. This full-time position is pivotal in driving new business by qualifying inbound marketing leads and actively prospecting for new opportunities through various outreach methods including email, phone, and social media. As a key member of the marketing team, you will work closely with our sales team and report directly to the Sales Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for proactively prospecting and scheduling sales meetings to generate new business opportunities. You will engage with marketing-generated leads to create net-new opportunities and consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual qualified lead generation goals. Effective management of the CRM is essential to track sales details and ensure accurate reporting. Continuous improvement is encouraged through participation in sales training and development to enhance your skills and stay competitive in the market. A deep understanding of customer needs and Swimlane's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) will be crucial for tailoring your outreach and engagement strategies. You will clearly communicate Swimlane's value proposition, highlighting the benefits of our low-code security automation solutions, and stay informed about product updates to ensure accurate messaging. Collaboration with marketing and sales teams will be necessary to ensure alignment and work towards common objectives, making this a collaborative and engaging role.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect and schedule sales meetings to generate new business.
  • Engage with marketing-generated leads to create net-new opportunities.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual qualified lead generation goals.
  • Effectively utilize and maintain the CRM to manage activities, track sales details, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Actively participate in sales training and development to enhance skills and stay competitive.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and Swimlane's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to tailor outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Clearly communicate Swimlane's value proposition, highlighting the benefits of our low-code security automation solutions.
  • Stay informed about product updates and changes, ensuring accurate and current messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment and work towards common objectives.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Strong confidence and professional demeanor in phone and Zoom communications.
  • Exceptional listening skills paired with the ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations.
  • A track record of consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • 1+ years of sales experience (B2B selling and/or demand generation preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Experience with sales automation tools such as Outreach or Salesloft.
  • Experience with 6 Sense/ABM.
  • Industry experience in the IT security market or with similar solutions is a plus.
  • 4 year college degree.
