The Sales Development Representative position at Bigbelly, located in Needham, MA, plays a critical role in the sales organization. As a sales quota-bearing position, the Sales Development Representative is responsible for managing the entire sales process for small to midsize opportunities and executing strategic lead-generation campaigns. These campaigns are specifically targeted toward potential Bigbelly customers and involve cold calls and emails to generate interest. Success in this role hinges on the ability to engage potential customers through effective communication, leading them to agree to a sales web presentation. Candidates must be confident and skilled in delivering sales presentations and adept at navigating sales calls. The sales process requires the ability to identify customer pain points and key drivers for adopting Bigbelly's products. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, actively seeking new challenges and striving for excellence in all tasks. Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify prospective customers and record sales prospecting activity in computer-based tracking systems.
  • Research into assigned territory to select targets.
  • Develop, implement, and follow up on marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct outbound sales cold calling and emailing.
  • Perform inbound sales follow-up.
  • Present the Bigbelly product to leads via web conferencing platform.
  • Source contacts for key players within the target region.
  • Manage the sales pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with cold calling preferred.
  • Experience giving presentations preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com.
