About the position

As an Enterprise Sales Development Representative at EDB, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our solutions across North America. This position is designed for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to generate qualified sales opportunities and support our revenue teams. You will be a key member of our high-performing sales team, utilizing your skills to research prospects, identify their pain points, and secure meetings with decision-makers. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging potential clients through various outreach methods such as phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn, effectively introducing them to EDB's powerful solutions that address their Postgres challenges. In this role, you will conduct cold outreach to educate the market about the capabilities of EDB, employing proven sales processes and leveraging cutting-edge technology to generate sales-qualified leads. Mastering the art of prospecting will be essential, as you will need to establish the value of our solutions while building rapport with prospects. Your success will be measured by daily activity metrics and monthly quota attainment, and as you demonstrate your mastery in this role, you will have access to a defined career path within our Sales Development Representative organization, with opportunities for growth into other areas within EDB. This position requires a positive mental attitude and a solutions-oriented mindset, as well as tenacity as a "hunter" for cold outbound prospecting. You will need exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a collaborative mentality that prioritizes teamwork. A highly motivated, ambitious, and goal-oriented mindset is essential, and the ability to travel once a quarter is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage prospects through cold outreach, showcasing how EDB can address their Postgres challenges.
  • Conduct cold-calling to educate the market about the power of EDB.
  • Utilize proven sales processes, weekly coaching, and cutting-edge technology to generate sales-qualified leads.
  • Master the art of prospecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn, establishing the value of our solutions.
  • Build rapport with prospects, identify their needs, and contribute to overall market education.

Requirements

  • 6+ months to 2 years of relevant sales experience (internship experience considered).
  • Positive mental attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Tenacity as a 'hunter' and affinity for cold outbound prospecting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • A collaborative mentality with the ability to prioritize teamwork.
  • A highly motivated, ambitious, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to travel once a quarter.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous cold-calling experience
  • Knowledge of sales tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo
