About the position

The Sales Development Representative at IDeaS is an entry-level role designed to support the sales team in generating qualified leads and identifying new business opportunities within the hospitality technology sector. This position offers a pathway for career growth within the sales organization and focuses on collaborating with marketing and sales teams to achieve lead generation goals. The representative will engage with potential clients, manage prospect activities, and ensure a seamless experience for prospects throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify and disposition leads generated via Marketing Programs according to target market fit and sales readiness.
  • Ensure hand-off of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales based on established criteria.
  • Collaborate with marketing & inside sales to execute proactive prospecting plans.
  • Execute customer-centric prospecting campaigns into target client accounts identified by account management team.
  • Navigate prospective client's corporate structure to identify decision makers and communicate IDeaS' value proposition.
  • Manage daily prospect activities including outbound calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Create a consistent experience for prospects as relationships are developed and maintained.
  • Achieve lead generation goals established by Area Manager of Sales and Area Vice President.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Marketing and Sales teams through clear communication and participation in product demos.
  • Proactively seek out information to stay current on industry issues/trends.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related experience in a sales or customer contact position.
  • Demonstrated record of successful lead generation in software or business services environment.
  • Ability to engage in business-oriented conversations and articulate relevant success stories.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management systems, Salesforce.com.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in Spanish or able to demonstrate working language proficiency.
  • Familiarity with popular CRM and sales automation software, such as Salesforce and Salesloft.
  • Familiar with hospitality and hotel industry.
  • Extra points for familiarity with pricing, decision optimization or business intelligence concepts.
