The Inside Sales, Sales Development Representative at 10x Genomics is a pivotal role focused on lead generation and qualification for the company's platforms, including Chromium, Visium, and Xenium. This position is essential for engaging with both new and existing customers across various sectors such as academic institutions, government agencies, medical centers, and biotech/pharma service providers. The representative will work independently to raise awareness of the company's products through multiple channels, including web inquiries, email campaigns, and webinars, ultimately generating qualified leads that will be coordinated with Account Managers, Xenium Capital Specialists, and Scientific & Technology Advisors for further engagement and presentations. In this role, the Sales Development Representative will develop and execute independent lead generation strategies, employing research techniques to identify high-value prospects. Collaboration with the Marketing team is crucial to leverage targeted campaigns and optimize lead flow. The representative will be responsible for tracking and reporting on initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth, fostering strong relationships with cross-functional departments, and executing clear processes for handoffs. Additionally, the role involves updating the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of opportunities and pipeline management. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry, along with 0-1+ years of experience in inside sales or business development, preferably within the academic, life sciences, or biotechnology sectors. The representative should be adept at identifying customer needs, demonstrating how the company's products provide solutions, and proficient in navigating the sales cycle from initial contact to opportunity creation. Strong relationship-building skills, proficiency in CRM software, and effective communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
