As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for meeting assigned sales targets for agreement-based services and new business development. You will engage with customers from a list of target accounts provided by the Director of Light Lifting, ensuring frequent and regular follow-up contact for all open sales cases. Your role will also involve maintaining customer and contact information in the CRM software, ensuring compliance with the Contract Retention policy, and qualifying new prospects for credit worthiness. You will be expected to maintain the sales funnel according to established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Funnel Quality Reporting and provide reports to management as requested. In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist in developing price estimates for agreements using established worksheets and guidelines, and support customer relations or collection efforts as needed. This position requires good written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in PC skills. Prior experience with cranes is a plus, and a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles is beneficial. You will need to demonstrate persistence and a high tolerance for rejection, as well as the ability to meet monthly sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting assigned sales targets for agreement-based services and new business development.
  • Calling customers from a list of target accounts provided by Director of Light Lifting.
  • Conducting frequent and regular follow-up contact for all open sales cases.
  • Assigning any sales cases that require customer site visits to the designated sales resource.
  • Maintaining customer and contact information in the CRM software, as required.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all requirements of the Contract Retention policy.
  • Qualifying all new prospects for credit worthiness.
  • Checking D&B ratings and obtaining credit application, if appropriate.
  • Obtaining tax-exempt certificate, if required.
  • Maintaining the sales funnel according to the established KPI's for Funnel Quality Reporting.
  • Providing other reports to management as requested.
  • Adjusting sales offers and acquiring necessary forms for customer set up.
  • Preparing or assisting in developing price estimates for agreements using established worksheets, guidelines, and input from the agreement specialist department.
  • Assisting in other customer relations or collection efforts as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred; however, prior equivalent experience and training will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in service-related sales preferred; however, equivalent education, experience, and training will be considered.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Experience meeting monthly minimum sales quotas and CRM funnel size.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good PC skills.
