About the position

Brown & Brown is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This role is pivotal in generating new business and increasing revenue opportunities within our Employee Benefits division. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, committed to delivering the best solutions for our customers. The Sales Development Representative will focus on developing and executing initiatives through both inbound and outbound efforts, ensuring a robust pipeline of potential clients and opportunities. In this position, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing new business sales strategies and initiatives. This includes exploring new products and services, selecting target markets, and creating tailored coverage options that meet the unique needs of our clients. You will partner closely with Producers to assist with prospecting activities in the Employee Benefits market, leveraging your expertise to drive results. Utilizing agency technology, you will conduct ongoing research and solicit advanced software products to generate new opportunities. Your role will also involve attending carrier and industry meetings and seminars to foster relationships and stay informed about industry standards and trends. Keeping accurate and up-to-date prospect information in the Agency CRM is essential for tracking progress and ensuring effective communication. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to train and counsel teammates, customizing development plans and conducting performance reviews to help elevate the team's overall success. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your contributions will directly impact the growth of the company and the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, and implement new business sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Partner with Producers to assist with inbound & outbound prospecting activity in the Employee Benefits market.
  • Utilize Agency technology to assist in the ongoing research/solicitation of advanced software products to generate new opportunities.
  • Attend carrier and industry meetings and seminars to foster relationships and remain knowledgeable of industry standards.
  • Keep up to date and accurate prospect information in the Agency CRM.
  • Train and counsel teammates; customize development plans and performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all commercial line's insurance coverage.
  • 3+ years' experience in insurance related sales, telemarketing, sales, or consulting.
  • Active Life & Health License.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
