About the position

The Business Development Representative at Compass plays a crucial role in driving new business opportunities and expanding the company's market presence. This position involves educating the Compass Agent Community about the importance of contributing to the Strategic Growth of Compass, partnering with agents to identify prospective agents, and ultimately working towards becoming a Strategic Growth Manager (SGM).

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities to build the sales pipeline through inbound and outbound efforts.
  • Outreach directly to prospective agents via cold calls, texts, emails, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Articulate the value proposition and handle objections to create qualified opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies.
  • Document all activities within the CRM, maintaining flawless data management.
  • Drive engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create and refine processes through innovative thinking.
  • Analyze addressable market in new geographies and create demand for technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in SDR, Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, or Account Management.
  • Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills with a positive attitude.
  • Self-starter with the ability to solve problems independently and handle ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills for leading client meetings and presentations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in real estate or technology sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and data management practices.
