About the position

CRUA is the world's leading insulated tent manufacturer, and we are currently seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our team at our headquarters in Kyle, Texas. This position is crucial as we expand our operations and continue to provide exceptional products to our customers. The ideal candidate will embody our vision of 'Giving campers everywhere, the best night's sleep in the wild' and will be primarily focused on direct sales to consumers, utilizing both phone and email communication. In this role, you will engage with customers directly, providing them with information about our products and pricing. You will play a key role in educating customers throughout the sales funnel, ensuring that potential opportunities are converted into actual purchases. Your responsibilities will also include being available via phone and live chat to address customer inquiries and convert them into sales. Additionally, you will proactively reach out to both current and past customers to upsell or cross-sell products based on their interests and previous purchases. You will also be involved in reaching out to customers who have abandoned their carts, with the goal of converting these leads into sales. As part of your role, you will recommend internal opportunities to enhance our eCommerce presence, which will help increase sales and conversion rates over time. Managing our health, orders, and the daily operations of various platforms will also be part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with our content producers to ensure that our product listings on online marketplaces are up-to-date with new photography and videos. Furthermore, you will be tasked with researching and creating lists of potential prospects who may be interested in our products, and you will have the opportunity to attend roadshows and engage in pop-up store marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Make direct to consumer contact through phone and email to offer information and pricing of products.
  • Educate customers through the sales funnel to convert opportunities into purchases.
  • Be available via phone and live chat to convert customer inquiries into sales.
  • Proactively reach out to current and past customers to upsell or cross-sell gear based on current CRUA products they own or are interested in.
  • Participate in reaching out to abandoned cart customers to convert them into sales.
  • Recommend opportunities internally to improve the company's eCommerce presence over time.
  • Manage health, orders, and the day-to-day running of various platforms.
  • Manage Crua products on online marketplaces, ensuring new photography and videos are added to listings.
  • Research and create lists of prospects interested in our products.
  • Attend roadshows and engage in pop-up store marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts.
  • Sales results driven.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) / G-Suite.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written, and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Understanding of Search Engine Optimization.
  • Team player, able to work with others to resolve listing issues.
  • Knowledge of marketplace platforms.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive problem solver.
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing 'start-up' environment.
  • Clean driving license.
