The Sales Development Representative position at Breakthru Beverage Group is designed as a dynamic sales development role that involves rotating through various territories. The primary responsibility of this role is to fill in open territories as needed, maximizing the sales of supplier brands to the trade. This position may also require assistance to the Merchandising Department during peak merchandising periods, ensuring that the company’s products are effectively represented and promoted in the market. In this role, the Sales Development Representative will be responsible for calling on accounts and covering daily routes by establishing an efficient routing pattern. This includes preparing and delivering professional sales presentations that balance the company's priorities with customer needs. The representative will sell display ideas, introduce new products, and manage placements and resets of products in cold boxes, shelves, back bars, and promotions. Maintaining product levels in accounts is crucial, which involves taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permissible. The representative will ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts by utilizing effective point of sale materials. They will also be responsible for obtaining payments by collecting and delivering checks or other remittances from accounts, where legally allowed. Educating account staff through training seminars on brands is another key responsibility, along with servicing accounts by delivering products in extenuating circumstances and addressing customer issues and complaints appropriately. Strategic planning is essential for achieving sales and merchandising objectives, which involves understanding company pricing and product programming information on a monthly basis and maintaining accurate historical account purchase information. The representative will also ensure compliance with national account requirements by completing necessary surveys accurately. Performance goals will be set by management, and the representative will be expected to meet distribution, volume, and activity goals for supplier brands. Managing customer account receivables through timely processing of credits and returns is also part of the role, along with staying informed about company and supplier activities by participating in weekly sales meetings. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed.
