About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at DigiCert is responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing Enterprise leads. This role is designed for individuals looking to develop core sales skills and offers a pathway to advanced sales roles with increased earning potential. SDRs will work closely with Account Executives/Managers to drive lead generation and qualification, contributing to the growth of the customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Source opportunities and qualify leads for the Sales Organization.
  • Work both inbound and outbound leads with an expectation of doing 80 touches per day (via email, phone calls, social media).
  • Communicate with key IT personnel, including C-level executives, by phone, email, and social media.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of DigiCert solutions to become a trusted advisor to prospects and customers.
  • Uncover and qualify prospective customer needs, understand business processes, identify projects, determine requirements, and ascertain potential solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize performance of campaigns.
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and collaboration through ad-hoc projects for various departments.

Requirements

  • Up to 1 year of sales, sales development, or outbound outreach experience.
  • Desire to work in sales and in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Coachable, self-motivated, curious, and resilient, with a 'get the job done' attitude.
  • Professional, efficient communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills (positive and personable).

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in SFDC, Zoominfo, Salesloft/Outreach is a plus.
