About the position

The Sales Development Representative role is a great place to start your career with IDeaS and has the opportunity to grow within the sales team and broader IDeaS organization. The Sales Development Representative is responsible for supporting the Americas team of 7 sales reps in pursuit of their individual sales quotas. This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities in defined market segments in North America. The primary metric for success is generating qualified leads accepted by and passed to IDeaS Account Executives (sales reps).

Responsibilities

  • Qualify and disposition of leads generated via Marketing Programs according to target market fit and sales readiness.
  • Ensure hand-off of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales based on established criteria.
  • Collaborate with marketing & inside sales to execute proactive prospecting plans.
  • Execute customer-centric prospecting campaigns into target client accounts identified by account management team.
  • Navigate prospective client's corporate structure to identify decision makers and uncover critical business issues.
  • Manage daily prospect activities that will include outbound calls, emails, social selling (LinkedIn) and responding to Marketing leads.
  • Create a consistent experience for prospects as relationships are developed, nurtured, and maintained.
  • Achieve lead generation goals established by Area Manager of Sales and Area Vice President.
  • Maintain strong relationship with Marketing and Sales teams through clear communication.
  • Proactively seek out information to stay current on industry issues/trends and competing products.
  • Participate in industry forums, such as HSMAI.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related experience in a sales or customer contact position.
  • Demonstrated record of successful lead generation in software or business services environment.
  • Ability to engage in a business-oriented conversation and articulate a relevant success story.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport with contacts in an organization.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management systems, Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to successfully and independently identify and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work outside normal work hours and travel occasionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, or able to demonstrate working language proficiency.
  • Familiarity with popular CRM and sales automation software, such as Salesforce and Salesloft.
  • Familiar with hospitality and hotel industry.
  • Extra points for familiarity with pricing, decision optimization or business intelligence concepts.
