About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Breakthru Beverage Group is a full-time role focused on maximizing sales of supplier brands in the Jupiter/Vero Beach area. This position involves rotating through various territories, filling in open territories as needed, and assisting the Merchandising Department during busy periods. The representative will engage with accounts, deliver sales presentations, maintain product visibility, and ensure compliance with national account standards.

Responsibilities

  • Calls on accounts and covers daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing pattern.
  • Prepares and delivers professional sales presentations to customers, balancing company priorities and customer needs.
  • Maintains product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legal.
  • Ensures maximum brand visibility within accounts using effective point of sale materials.
  • Obtains payments for the company by collecting and delivering checks or other remittance from accounts where legally permissible.
  • Educates account staff by conducting educational training seminars on brands.
  • Services accounts by delivering products to customers in extenuating circumstances and handling customer issues.
  • Strategizes on how to achieve sales and merchandising objectives by understanding pricing and product programming information.
  • Ensures national account compliance by accurately completing necessary surveys.
  • Understands account buying patterns by reviewing pricing and product programming information.
  • Attains performance goals by achieving distribution, volume, and activity goals of supplier brands.
  • Manages customer account receivables by processing credits and returns in a timely manner.
  • Remains informed of company/supplier activities by attending weekly sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales.
  • Basic PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs including presentation software.
  • Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently or within a team, and pay attention to detail.
  • Analytic and reporting skills with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to hold a Solicitor's Permit.
  • Understanding of wine and spirits.
