About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at GrayMatter Robotics, you will play a crucial role in identifying and engaging potential clients in the manufacturing industry. Your primary focus will be on initiating conversations and creating opportunities for the sales team, leveraging your understanding of the company's innovative robotic solutions to address client needs and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and qualify potential customers in the manufacturing industry through various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking.
  • Have a deep understanding of the products or services offered by the company and effectively communicate their value.
  • Research and identify potential clients or customers who fit the target market.
  • Develop and execute high-volume outreach strategies to engage potential customers and create interest in GrayMatter Robotics' products and services.
  • Assess the needs and requirements of potential leads to determine their suitability as prospects.
  • Engage with prospects to understand their business challenges and requirements, effectively communicating how our robotic solutions can address their needs.
  • Schedule appointments, demos, or meetings for the sales team with qualified leads.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of prospect interactions and lead status in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular feedback and insights on lead quality, market conditions, and campaign effectiveness to the sales manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
  • 1-2 years of industry experience in sales, customer service or business development.
  • Excellent communication skills via phone and email.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting outbound and cold-calling outreach.
  • Proven track record of being self-motivated and creative, capable of working independently with minimal supervision as exhibited by experience in startup environments or proactively developing new processes from scratch.
  • Great time management skills and the ability to work well independently and in team environments.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities.
  • Must secure work authorization in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with manufacturing industry and processes specifically within surface finishing and treatment.
  • Experience working in robotics or startup environments.
  • Experience using sales tools/platforms including but not limited to ZoomInfo, Hubspot.
