About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Dec-O-Art Inc. is a vital role focused on driving sales growth and establishing strong client relationships. The representative will leverage their passion for technology sales and exceptional communication skills to identify customer needs, present tailored solutions, and effectively close sales. This position requires a proactive approach to business development, lead generation, and collaboration with marketing and sales teams to meet revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through email blasts and social media.
  • Drive leads and online traffic through web-based activities.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct thorough research to identify potential prospects.
  • Assist the sales team in improving performance and maintaining leads.
  • Identify decision-makers within prospects to determine budget and timeline.
  • Build and cultivate prospective relationships through follow-up communications.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales Departments to develop the sales pipeline.
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce and ERP system.
  • Identify and execute plans for conferences and markets to introduce new customers.
  • Maintain a proactive, service-focused attitude towards customers.
  • Identify best practices for refining the lead-generation playbook.
  • Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities.
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 1-3 years of telemarketing or inside sales experience is a plus.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in internet usage and search functions.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Active Campaign or similar marketing email platform.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize assignments effectively.
