About the position

Docusign is a leading company that transforms the way agreements are managed and executed, serving over 1.5 million customers globally. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in this process by engaging with potential clients who have shown interest in Docusign's offerings. This position is primarily focused on outbound sales, where the SDR will spend approximately 80% of their time on the phone, reaching out to prospects and qualifying leads generated by marketing efforts. The SDR will utilize strategic questioning to understand the business needs of potential customers and align them with Docusign's solutions. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain substantial sales experience in a fast-paced SaaS environment, with significant training provided to develop effective selling techniques. The SDR will be responsible for making outbound calls to prospects, particularly those identified as part of Docusign's core vertical markets. They will gather information about the prospects' business intentions and assess their propensity to buy. Successful leads will be forwarded to Sales Account Executives for further engagement and closure. Additionally, the SDR will schedule appointments between prospects and Account Executives and maintain accurate records of qualification information in the CRM database. This position reports directly to the Manager of Sales Development and is classified as a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to prospects who have expressed interest in learning more about Docusign
  • Make outbound calls to prospects who are deemed to reside in one of Docusign's core vertical markets
  • Gather information about Docusign and ask questions about the prospect's business intentions
  • Discern propensity to buy and forward good potential leads to Sales Account Executives to pursue and close
  • Schedule appointments between prospects and Account Executives
  • Capture qualification information in the CRM database

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Google Workspace
