About the position

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is seeking a passionate and driven Sales Development Representative to join our Sales Team. This full-time position is fully remote and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our sales targets and growth objectives. As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in building relationships and generating sales leads, which are essential for the success of our National Sales Executives. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities and building a robust pipeline. You will engage with potential clients through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails, ensuring that you explore their needs and requirements effectively. Your ability to research accounts, identify key players, and understand the market in your assigned territory will be vital in qualifying prospects and routing them to the appropriate Sales Executives for further development and closure. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with Sales Executives on sales proposals and prospect presentations, coordinating with other supporting teams such as Pricing, RFP support, and Strategic Account Management. You will also be expected to meet weekly metrics aimed at growing revenue in your assigned territory, which includes making outbound calls, conducting virtual meetings, and performing email outreach. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and is eager to take initiative while managing their time effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships while sourcing new sales opportunities to build a pipeline.
  • Explore client needs and requirements through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and build an understanding of the market in your assigned territory.
  • Qualify prospects and route them to the appropriate Sales Executives for further development and closure.
  • Work closely with Sales Executives on sales proposals and prospect presentations.
  • Coordinate with other supporting teams including Pricing, RFP support, and Strategic Account Management.
  • Meet weekly metrics to grow revenue in an assigned territory, including outbound calls, virtual meetings, and email outreach.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of business development and/or commercial inside sales experience.
  • Associates degree required; Bachelors preferred.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint are a requirement.
  • Strong prospecting skills and the ability to develop business in new and existing accounts.
  • Problem solver with a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-led environment while being able to take initiative and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in different platforms such as Salesforce or similar CRM.
