About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in representing our Small and Medium Business (SMB) products and services. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your comprehensive knowledge of our offerings and consumer research to effectively articulate how our solutions can address the needs of our customers. This position involves generating leads and building relationships by nurturing warm prospects and identifying potential new sales opportunities within our existing customer base. You will be tasked with managing and maintaining a pipeline of interested prospects, engaging with sales executives to advance these leads to the next steps in the sales process. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying best practices to refine the company's lead-generation playbook, ensuring continuous improvement in our strategies and processes. In this role, you will utilize various tools and methods, including Salesforce, cold calls, text, and email, to generate new sales opportunities. Building initial rapport with prospects will be essential to qualify leads as viable sales opportunities. You will need to identify the specific needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services that align with those needs. Setting up meetings or calls between prospective customers and sales executives will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will report to the sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results, providing insights into your performance and the effectiveness of your lead generation efforts.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding lead targets
  • Experience communicating with clients through phone and email, enhancing customer relations and engagement
  • Experience developing innovative solutions and demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques
