About the position

Esker Inc. is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their dynamic Sales Development team in Madison, WI. This role is pivotal in engaging with prospects through outbound calls and creative email follow-ups, aiming to generate interest in Esker's AI-powered business solutions. The SDR will work closely with the Sales team to build a robust pipeline and revenue, ensuring a positive experience for potential customers. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and mentorship in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop opportunities for the sales team from prospecting and marketing generated leads
  • Demonstrate the value of our offering through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, including outbound video, and other social mediums
  • Develop and execute on a strong prospecting plan of attack, including email and call scripts
  • Track all relevant qualification and lead management activity using Salesforce
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities
  • Schedule Initial Discovery Meetings for the Sales Team
  • Provide in-depth information to the Sales team to enable the most qualified and productive demos
  • Shadow Business Development Managers to help acquire the skills needed for the next role on the sales team
  • Create a great first impression to prospects and customers by providing them with a world-class experience

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a phone sales role OR a driven, whip-smart, and eager-to-learn new grad who thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Fearlessness - willing to hop on the phone with new people every single day
  • Intellectual horsepower to become better every day, and curiosity to keep learning for years to come
  • Contributes fully to the team effort and plays an integral part in the smooth running of teams
