The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Vimeo plays a crucial role in the sales process by being the first point of contact for prospective customers. This includes researching companies and individuals that fit the criteria for prospective partnerships with Vimeo, developing ideal customer profiles for outbound prospecting, and utilizing BANT criteria to qualify prospects. The SDR will also be tasked with growing the top of the sales funnel through both warm and cold outbound campaigns, scheduling high-quality meetings for the sales team, and working to meet and exceed monthly goals defined to maximize deal flow through outbound emails, calls, and meetings. The position requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility, as the SDR will be part of an ever-growing sales organization. Managing a high volume of inbound leads while prioritizing them strategically is essential. The SDR will also need to demonstrate a deep understanding of various lines of business and customer personas, as well as the ability to anticipate and prepare for objections during conversations with potential clients. Overall, this role is pivotal in driving Vimeo's sales efforts and contributing to the company's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business by researching companies and individuals that meet criteria for prospective partnership with Vimeo.
  • Develop ideal customer profiles for outbound prospecting and qualify prospects while leveraging BANT criteria.
  • Grow the top of the sales funnel through warm and cold outbound campaigns.
  • Build new methods for attracting clients.
  • Schedule high-quality meetings with prospective customers for the sales team.
  • Work to meet and exceed monthly goals defined to maximize deal flow with outbound emails, calls, and setting up meetings.
  • Speak to value and return on investment versus technical functionality.
  • Learn how to anticipate and prepare for objections.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as part of an ever-growing sales organization.
  • Manage a high volume of inbound leads with a strategy on prioritization of leads.
  • Research and understand various lines of business and personas.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience, preferably in market research, lead generation, marketing, or sales, ideally within SaaS businesses.
  • Proven track record of success with a sales cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an outgoing personality and the ability to hold engaging conversations or write attention-grabbing emails.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and solve gaps with creative outreach strategies including email copy, warm/cold calls, social media outreach, and in-person events.
  • High level of resilience and ability to handle objections both over the phone and by email.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency.
  • Represent the company and its products with a high degree of professionalism.
  • A competitive nature and relentless drive to succeed.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software, outreach, chat tools, Zoominfo, and SalesNav.
