About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in Davison Design and Development by serving as the primary point of contact for clients interested in the company's innovative services. This position involves selling pre-development research services over the phone to prospective clients with new product ideas, while also providing essential communication and support to clients. The SDR will work closely with senior management to meet client needs and contribute to the company's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Offer and sell pre-development research services over the telephone to prospective clients.
  • Qualify sales prospects and assist in managing client communications.
  • Work directly with senior management to service client needs and provide support.
  • Adhere to scripted phone material and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a professional image through speech, grammar, demeanor, and attire.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of sales experience preferred, with inside sales experience being an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with the general public.
  • Ability to absorb and retain industry knowledge.
  • Trainable and coachable with the ability to operate a digital phone system.
  • Standard computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a sales environment, particularly in inside sales.
  • Familiarity with custom databases.
