About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at PDQuipment, you will play a vital role in driving growth by capturing and nurturing leads in the construction equipment sales industry. This position involves generating new business opportunities, conducting outreach to potential clients, and coordinating meetings with senior sales executives. You will work closely with the marketing team to refine strategies and monitor industry trends to enhance sales approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach.
  • Conduct initial outreach to potential clients to assess their needs and determine the potential for partnership.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and senior sales executives.
  • Maintain and update customer information in our CRM system (HubSpot).
  • Work closely with the marketing team to refine messaging and tactics based on market feedback.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation or improvements in our sales approach.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry networking events to promote company products and services.
  • Assist in the creation and optimization of sales collateral and presentations.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and potential product enhancements.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on industry standards and sales techniques.

Requirements

  • Experience with CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Knowledge of the construction equipment industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the construction equipment industry is a plus.
