About the position

The Sales Development Representative at Follett School Solutions LLC is responsible for generating new business opportunities through cold calls, emails, and high-level discovery calls with potential clients. The primary goal is to book sales appointments that lead to legitimate sales opportunities, with performance measured by key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of calls made, emails sent, and meetings booked.

Responsibilities

  • Executes short and long-term sales strategies for named accounts in geographical area of responsibility.
  • Actively partners with marketing to develop and execute on campaigns and other key initiatives.
  • Understands customer buying cycles and market trends by state and local designations and applies to sales strategy as appropriate.
  • Prospects, identifies, and engages new customers as a self-driven contributor.
  • Grows new business opportunities across multiple products and services.
  • Supports in the development and cultivation of key customer relationships with decision makers in the geographical area of responsibility.
  • Generates customer interest and attendance in company-sponsored events such as conferences and trade shows.
  • Qualifies new business opportunities.
  • Maintains customer account, contact, lead, and other customer data in CRM.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accountability towards team goals.
  • Adept at solving complex problems and communicates clearly to various audiences.
  • Adjusts to customer needs and questions as needed to quickly adapt to their needs.
  • Effectively influences others and represents the Sales organization on cross-functional teams.
  • Seeks out ways to learn from others and grow as a strong team member.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in sales or sales development.
  • Associates degree or equivalent education.
  • K-12 experience is a plus.
  • Sales or Sales Development experience is a plus.
