About the position

As a Sales Development Representative at TransUnion, you will play a crucial role in driving new business acquisition through strategic outreach and lead generation efforts. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about sales and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. You will work closely with Account Executives (AEs) to create monthly outreach plans that align with business goals, ensuring that you are effectively targeting the right accounts and key decision-makers. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth research on target accounts to identify key players and crafting customized messaging that resonates with prospective customers. In this role, you will leverage various sales tools, including Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, and other resources, to execute outreach plans and communicate with current and prospective customers. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of your activities and research within Salesforce.com, ensuring that all relevant information is up-to-date. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute campaigns that nurture leads and create demand in the market. This position requires a confident communicator who is comfortable engaging with managers, executives, and peers. You will need to demonstrate a measurable track record of success in a goal-oriented environment and possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage your time effectively. As part of your professional development, you will participate in regular training and coaching sessions to enhance your demand generation skills and objection handling techniques. This is a remote position, but you may be required to attend work-related events in person at the discretion of management.

Responsibilities

  • Create monthly strategic outreach plans in concert with AEs to support new business acquisition goals
  • Conduct deep research on target accounts to identify key players and create customized messaging for prospecting purposes
  • Execute on outreach plans by communicating with current and prospective customers with tailored messages across multiple channels
  • Leverage assets from Marketing and Demand Generation campaigns to educate and nurture prospective customers, thereby creating need in the market
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute campaigns and provide feedback to maximize impact
  • Maintain and update records within Salesforce.com to reflect relevant research and activities
  • Utilize all available resources - salesforce.com, LinkedIn, news alerts, Winmo, ZoomInfo, etc. to strategically identify organizations and individuals to contact
  • Participate in regular SDR training and coaching sessions to hone demand generation skills and objection handling

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in a Sales Development, Lead Generation, or Sales
  • High volume cold-calling experience and/or experience calling on Chief Security/Information Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Compliance Officers, VPs of Fraud, and VPs of Customer Care or Customer Experience
  • Proficiency in salesforce.com, cadence tools, LinkedIn, and/or other sales tools
  • Confident communicator, comfortable speaking with managers, executives, and peers
  • Measurable track record of succeeding in goal-oriented environment
  • Ability to act independently when necessary, creating and executing plans for improvements and implementation
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
