About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Trimble involves engaging with potential customers through outbound phone calls to generate leads for the sales team. This position is crucial in qualifying leads, providing marketing materials, and ensuring accurate data management within the CRM system. The SDR will work closely with the marketing team to optimize lead qualification processes and support sales promotions, contributing to the overall success of the sales strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Handle orders and address inquiries from advertising efforts.
  • Proactively make cold calls to identify potential leads.
  • Qualify leads and furnish marketing materials to interested customers.
  • Compile essential activity and forecast reports.
  • Direct leads to field or inside sales teams for closing sales.
  • Lead conversations with prospective buyers to advance understanding of Trimble solutions.
  • Ensure quality and completeness of data in opportunity and account records.
  • Drive tactical planning of quarterly sales promotions as assigned.
  • Work with the marketing team to optimize lead qualification processes and coordinate email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the CRM administrator to optimize account, opportunity, and contact record layouts and workflows.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with outbound phone-based account development, sales, or customer service ideally in an enterprise software environment.
  • Energetic, engaging, results-oriented professional with a passion for selling.
  • Reliable self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and confidence to interact positively and productively with decision makers at all levels.
  • Willingness to research and make a large volume of calls daily.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce.com, email engagement strategies, and advanced web search.
