As a Sales Development Representative at PowerSchool, you will embark on an exciting journey in the field of Tech Sales, specifically within the K-12 education sector. In this position, you will play a crucial role in building our sales pipeline by identifying and developing new business opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be to source prospects and generate leads through various outreach methods, including cold calls and emails. You will collaborate closely with Account Representatives to ensure that each lead receives a high-quality sales experience, setting the stage for effective closing. Additionally, you will work with leadership to align your efforts with PowerSchool's key objectives, ensuring that your contributions are impactful and measurable. The ideal candidate for this role is ambitious, motivated, and determined to succeed in a sales career. You should possess strong organizational skills and a process-oriented mindset, allowing you to effectively evaluate potential in all customer interactions. As a competitive individual, you will strive to exceed metrics set by the Sales Leadership Team, making approximately 50-60 outbound calls and sending 20-30 emails daily. This role offers a clear path for career advancement within the organization, along with ongoing training and exposure to the evolving education technology landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing prospects and generating leads via cold calls.
  • Working directly with Inside and/or Enterprise Sales teams to pass along qualified opportunities.
  • Developing a strong understanding of prospects and learning solution-selling techniques.
  • Proactively engaging and prospecting new business opportunities and customers, making approximately 50-60 outbound calls and 20-30 emails per day.
  • Consistently meeting and/or exceeding metrics as defined by the Sales Leadership Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Background in sales or lead generation is a plus.
  • Mindset to be coached, trained, and mentored toward a successful software sales career.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong skills in MS Office are required.
  • Desire to grow in a software sales career path.
