About the position

Shure is seeking a dynamic Sales Development Specialist II to focus on expanding our presence through key distribution channels like TDSynnex and Ingram Micro. This role is essential for driving sales growth and building strong relationships within the AV/IT industry. Located on the East Coast, the Sales Development Specialist II will execute strategic plans, deliver compelling product training and customer demos, and support accounts to uncover new business opportunities and elevate our brand. The position combines market research, lead qualification, and strategic communication to drive success in the AV/IT distribution channel. In this role, the specialist will be responsible for identifying, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing market leads and opportunities to reach potential customers outside of the current revenue stream. They will execute product training and customer demos to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of Shure's product categories. Additionally, the specialist will provide account support to the distribution channel and work closely with AV/IT distribution channel engineers to drive technical awareness and brand building. The role also involves communicating growth opportunities with business leaders and qualifying leads to identify “sales-ready” prospects, while also being responsible for cross-selling and up-selling during the tele-qualification process. The Sales Development Specialist II will anticipate customer needs, overcome competitive sales objections, and position Shure products against competition. They will deliver prepared sales messaging to move potential customers through the buying process, ultimately leading to purchase. The specialist will partner with the supported sales team to schedule calls with prospective customers and ensure timely and effective handoffs. Familiarity with the Marketing Plan between Shure and the AV/IT distribution channel is essential, as is collaboration with the Shure Business Leader and Channel Marketing team on execution as directed. This role may also involve other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the company.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or relevant professional field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a sales account professional with IT and AV background.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, professional, ambitious, and well-organized.
  • Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Knowledge of CRM-related applications and marketing automation applications.
  • Willingness to be located in the region or at the location of Shure partner.
