About the position

The Sales Director at American Foam Products is a goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, and energetic leader with a strong moral compass. This role is focused on sales growth and achieving great customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience leading and coaching high-performance sales teams, developing and executing data-driven sales plans, and cultivating relationships both internally and externally. The Sales Director must be genuine, considerate, and empathetic, with a strong commitment to developing those around them and fostering collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, redesign and implement the company's sales department structure and strategic sales strategy focused on acquiring new customers and sales.
  • Identify new markets and sales opportunities and create strategies to pursue them.
  • Hiring, firing, training, coaching, and professional development for the sales team.
  • Establish annual sales goals and defined trackable metrics and KPIs for the sales team.
  • Prepare sales projections and budget, advising the CEO on the marketing budget.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to meet and exceed metrics, holding them accountable.
  • Create internal reporting and forecasts to make data-driven decisions and drive performance.
  • Review and expand upon sales training programs.
  • Assess current sales processes and manage the company's Sales Playbook.
  • Leverage the company's CRM, marketing, and analytic platforms to provide feedback and adjustments to sales strategies.
  • Participate in L10 meetings and implement EOS methods within the sales team.
  • Be the escalation point for the Sales Team.
  • Research, monitor, and document competitor and customer information to inform pricing and sales strategies.
  • Partner with outside marketing agency to create initiatives and determine ROI.
  • Present internal sales reports to company management as necessary.

Requirements

  • Sales experience in a made-to-order/customized job shop environment.
  • Fabrication or manufacturing experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of sales leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Proficient in data analysis, interpretation, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of sales process, buyer behavior, and consultative selling.

  • Sales experience in the packaging distribution industry.
  • Packaging engineering experience.
  • Experience developing sales programs.
  • Experience developing sales teams.
  • Experience in a company running on EOS.
