About the position

COTY is seeking a Sales Director for the LATAM Distributor Markets based in Miami, FL. This role is pivotal in overseeing Area Sales Managers and commercial activities, ensuring that all growth and profit generation opportunities are recognized and maximized. The Sales Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of innovative commercial strategies aimed at accelerating growth in the region. The position requires a strategic thinker who can support the design of a comprehensive Business Plan, providing meaningful commercial insights and accurate sales forecasting for the market and its distributors. The Sales Director will oversee the execution and evaluation of the local business plan, which includes a three-year strategic business plan, a detailed one-year business plan, and quarterly business reviews. This role also involves joint business planning with distributors, managing trade marketing budgets, and evaluating both sales and marketing performance. The Sales Director will be responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with key executives, including owners, CEOs, General Managers, and heads of various departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking abilities, process orientation, analytical skills, and influencing capabilities. They will have a proven track record in leading strategic market studies and will be adept at developing effective working relationships across various functions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Oversee Area Sales Managers and commercial activities to maximize growth and profit generation.
  • Support the design of the Business Plan with commercial insights and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Execute and evaluate the local business plan, including strategic and detailed business plans.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and joint business planning with distributors.
  • Manage trade marketing budgets and evaluate sales and marketing performance.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key executives in the distributor network.
  • Develop and supervise the execution of sales, trade marketing, marketing, advertising, and public relations activities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales positions within leading multinational corporations in the FMCG sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in administration; MBA or Master's in Finance is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience managing distributors in LATAM markets.
  • Experience in the beauty industry is a plus.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
