About the position

As a Sales Director for Slalom's Global Life Sciences Industry Team, you will play a pivotal role in leading innovative outcomes in the sales and proposal process. This position requires close collaboration with market leadership to develop, manage, and forecast account work effectively. You will be responsible for acquiring and nurturing executive relationships, originating, leading, and negotiating strategic opportunities with both new and existing clients to create and sustain a diverse book of business within the Life Sciences industry. Your expertise will be critical in identifying and cultivating opportunities within consultant networks, engaging with a broad set of buyers in your territory, and hosting marketing events to enhance visibility and engagement. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of Slalom's solutions to introduce and create top-of-the-funnel opportunities while supporting the maturation of deals. You will create customer segmentation lists and strategize to execute plans aimed at growing and expanding your network. As a recognized sales expert within the Slalom community, you will actively mentor sales, account, and alliance sellers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. You will also be tasked with developing and leading strategic marketing and lead generation initiatives across Slalom's Life Sciences industry portfolio. Advising pursuit teams and helping build solutions during the pursuit process will be essential to optimize customer value. Partnering with key stakeholders in Slalom's alliance ecosystem, such as Salesforce and AWS, will ensure coordinated and synchronized pursuits and messaging across all touchpoints. You will create a personal brand both internally and externally, networking within the Slalom partner footprint to advertise Slalom's capabilities and competitive advantages in the marketplace. Delivering presentations to partner employees, prospective clients, and procurement teams will be a key aspect of your role, helping to communicate the firm's core values and past outcomes to generate excitement and pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead innovative outcomes in the sales and proposal process.
  • Partner closely with market leadership to develop, manage, and forecast account work.
  • Acquire and nurture executive relationships.
  • Originate, lead, and negotiate strategic opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities within consultant networks.
  • Host marketing events to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Develop expertise of Slalom's solutions to create top of the funnel opportunities.
  • Create customer segmentation lists and strategize to grow and expand the network.
  • Mentor sales, account, and alliance sellers within the Slalom community.
  • Develop and lead strategic marketing and lead generation initiatives across the Life Sciences industry portfolio.
  • Advise pursuit teams and help build solutions during the pursuit process.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Slalom's alliance ecosystem to ensure coordinated pursuits.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of previous experience generating $8+ million in sales of services solutions.
  • Deep experience working with clients in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Passionate about sales and technology; prior exposure to creating alliance partnerships is a plus.
  • Demonstrated passion and experience for establishing a culture of learning and teaming.
  • Excellent collaboration, relationship, and team-building skills.
  • Proven track record of partnering with clients to understand their organizational needs and recommend solutions that add value.
  • Strong prioritization and negotiation skills.
  • Organized with a strong process orientation.
  • Experienced in building relationships with CXOs and business decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated experience leading sales pursuits from identification to close, including negotiation.
  • Skilled at leading teams through complex technology solution sales.
