About the position

As the Sales Director for Onshape at PTC, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of experienced sales professionals across North America. Your primary responsibility will be to achieve assigned sales quotas by effectively selling Onshape to Mid-Market accounts, particularly those identified as Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) accounts segmented by geography. You will be expected to develop a revenue forecast in collaboration with the Head of Sales, ensuring that sales strategies align with company objectives and market demands. In this role, you will also be tasked with prospecting and developing new accounts while maintaining and expanding sales within existing accounts. Establishing strong, trusted advisor relationships with key C-level executives will be crucial, as you will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer requirements and a commitment to delivering value. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will support the achievement of sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. A significant aspect of your role will involve investigating and understanding the CAD landscape, allowing you to strategize, present, and demonstrate tailored technology solutions that align with customer business objectives. You will need to possess a technical understanding of these objectives to effectively map out strategies that incorporate software, training, and implementation solutions. This position requires a strong leader who can coordinate internal teams to meet customer goals throughout the sales process. You will be expected to leverage your extensive experience in selling enterprise software solutions to drive business growth and foster a culture of innovation within your team.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and manage a team of experienced Onshape sellers across North America
  • Achieve assigned quota by selling Onshape to Mid-Market accounts into ICP accounts segmented by geography
  • Develop revenue forecast in coordination with Head of Sales
  • Prospect and develop new accounts while maintaining sales within existing accounts
  • Establish strong 'trusted advisor' relationships with key C-level executives based on knowledge of customer requirements and commitment to value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of sales targets
  • Investigate and understand the CAD landscape to strategize, present, and demonstrate tailored technology solutions
  • Map strategies consisting of software, training, and implementation as solutions to customer business objectives
  • Ensure internal teams are coordinated to the customer's desired goal during the sales process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience selling enterprise software solutions
  • Proven ability to develop and close business in new accounts
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Experience working in an evangelical SaaS company that challenged the status quo
