About the position

The Business Development Lead at ev.energy will spearhead efforts to expand the company's market presence in the EU and UK, focusing on generating new business opportunities and forming strategic partnerships. This role combines leadership and hands-on sales responsibilities in a dynamic start-up environment, aimed at driving growth and fostering collaboration across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across utilities, electrical distribution, smart home, and automotive sectors.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements aligning with business objectives.
  • Building relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and industry SMEs to collaborate and drive success.
  • Building a robust sales pipeline, prioritizing for maximum impact.
  • Coaching team members to develop a high-performance team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation; setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback.
  • Preparing and delivering high-quality presentations, engaging pitches, and scoping meetings with prospecting clients as you articulate the value of our SaaS solutions.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to the executive team, providing insights into business development activities, market trends, and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior sales position, preferably within a start-up environment.
  • Strong knowledge within SaaS sales, ideally experience selling to utilities, energy, or automotive clients.
  • Ability to think strategically with a track record of successfully identifying and closing new business, ideally with enterprise clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactivity in suggesting and implementing processes and ways of working to improve performance.
  • Alignment to the vision, mission, and values of ev.energy.
