About the position

R L Carriers is actively seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Director of Sales at our Atlanta, GA Service Center. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday with various shifts available. The Director of Sales will play a crucial role in revenue forecasting and generation, ensuring that the company meets its financial goals. This includes monitoring revenue results and preparing or issuing incentive reports to motivate the sales team. The successful candidate will also be responsible for budget preparation, implementation, and monitoring, ensuring that all financial activities align with the company's strategic objectives. In addition to financial responsibilities, the Director of Sales will oversee proper staffing and education/training of the sales team. This includes assisting operations and/or administration as needed to ensure that the sales team is well-equipped to meet their targets. The position requires strong leadership skills, as the Director will be expected to lead a sales team effectively, fostering a culture of success and accountability. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, this role requires a commitment to travel, with expectations of up to 50% travel on a recurring basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, particularly in the LTL (Less Than Truckload) sector, and will be computer literate, with proficiency in Windows, Excel, and CRM systems. Operations knowledge is preferred to enhance the effectiveness of the sales strategies implemented.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • LTL Sales Management experience is strongly preferred
