About the position

As Sales Director, Bioprocessing Americas for Purolite, an Ecolab company, you will be at the forefront of developing strategies to expand Purolite's market share in the Americas region. This role requires a deep understanding of the bioprocessing landscape, particularly in downstream bioprocessing chromatography, single-use technologies, and filtration. You will evaluate and optimize sales models across various markets to ensure they align with customer segmentations. Your leadership will be crucial in building and developing a high-performing sales team, fostering collaboration across different functions within the organization to drive the achievement of sales objectives. In this position, you will assume direct responsibility for sales and financial objectives related to the Americas region. Your goal will be to deliver significant business growth and increase market share. You will need to evaluate and understand the value proposition for each customer segment and formulate growth strategies tailored specifically for the United States. This includes creating and implementing innovative sales and marketing initiatives aimed at achieving both short-term and long-term financial targets. You will be expected to develop new, innovative ideas that challenge the status quo and push the boundaries within the industry. Setting realistic goals and implementation plans that are both achievable and successful will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will organize and coordinate all business activities in the region, leveraging the breadth and depth of the company's products and solutions portfolio to create a compelling total value proposition for customers. Building and solidifying executive relationships with C-suite executives at key customers and strategic partners will be essential. You will collaborate extensively both within the organization and with customers, ensuring regular reporting, feedback mechanisms, and effective CRM usage. Ultimately, your leadership will be pivotal in building a high-performing sales organization, where you will be responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Downstream Bioprocessing Chromatography, Single Use Technologies, and/or filtration or Analytical chromatography experience, or 8 years in a closely adjacent offering in the Americas region.
  • In-depth knowledge of customers and relationships with key customers in Downstream Bioprocessing Chromatography.
  • Experience selling within the life sciences setting in the field of Biopharma Downstream Bioprocessing.
