The Community Specialist is a sales professional responsible for leasing a senior living community. This role requires the ideal candidate to create and follow a strategic business plan, manage their sales funnel, create urgency with prospects, and follow a sales process through closing to achieve optimal occupancy and revenue targets. The position emphasizes the importance of connecting with seniors and their families, understanding their needs, and matching them to the service offerings provided by the community. The Community Specialist will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of initiative, creativity, and professional ethics while maintaining compassion for customers throughout the sales process. In this role, the Community Specialist will manage all occupancy and revenue goals for the community, utilizing Salesforce to accurately track sales funnels, conversion ratios, and move-in metrics. The position also involves compliance with Fair Housing and Federal Trade Commission requirements, seeking new opportunities to expand referral sources, and making daily outbound calls to prospective customers to schedule visits and tours. The Community Specialist will provide tours of models or vacant apartments to future residents and referral agency networks, assist with marketing initiatives and resident events, and serve as an educational resource for residents, caregivers, and staff members. The Community Specialist will promote the organization positively, set an example for organizational standards for excellence, maintain effective communication and collaboration throughout the community, and prepare and manage all relevant reports. A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, or non-traditional hours, is essential as business demands dictate.
