The Sales Director at GumGum is a pivotal role focused on driving sales and managing key client relationships within the company's Market Leading Advertising platform. This position is primarily responsible for prospecting and closing sales, particularly in the Los Angeles region, and reports directly to the Group Sales Director. The Sales Director will leverage their extensive knowledge of the online media landscape and the advertising community to create value for clients through GumGum's innovative products. With a strong emphasis on achieving and exceeding sales goals, the Sales Director will be a self-motivated leader who collaborates effectively with internal teams to enhance the company's market presence. In this role, the Sales Director will manage a significant book of business, targeting annual revenue of over $5 million, particularly within the tech and telecom verticals. Key responsibilities include identifying and qualifying sales opportunities from marketing leads, generating high-volume sales activities such as cold calling and presentations, and upselling current clients on new and existing products. The Sales Director will also oversee a team of sellers, ensuring effective recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management, while translating regional strategies into actionable goals. Additionally, the Sales Director will cultivate relationships with brands, agency contacts, and clients to provide tailored solutions, and will work closely with Account Managers and other teams to ensure the successful implementation of sold proposals. This role also supports strategic sales opportunities and initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Vice President of Sales for the West Region.
