About the position

The Junior Sales Enablement Manager (Commercial Learning) at American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is a pivotal role within the Global Sales Enablement (GSE) team, focusing on creating and implementing training programs to enhance the onboarding and development of new sales and commercial team members. This position is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the commercial function within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create, coordinate, and schedule an onboarding program for new employees.
  • Help develop and execute onboarding content for new hires within the commercial teams, ensuring a quick ramp-up to full productivity.
  • Help design and deliver tailored learning and development programs for commercial teams, including sales and client management, that align with business objectives and drive performance improvement.
  • Support Sales Training including product training, sales methodologies, objection handling, negotiation techniques, and communication skills, to ensure the team is equipped for success.
  • Help develop and curate engaging training content, including presentations, job aids, learning guides, and interactive e-learning tools, to ensure that training is accessible and impactful.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product Marketing) to ensure training programs are aligned with overall business strategies and product offerings.
  • Leverage learning management systems (LMS), sales enablement platforms, and other learning technologies to enhance the delivery and tracking of training initiatives.
  • Develop knowledge checks.

Requirements

  • A degree in business, Learning and Development, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a learning and development role, with a focus on sales or commercial functions.
  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and report on performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in LMS and e-learning platforms.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who can work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business Travel experience preferred.
  • Professional certifications in learning & development or sales enablement is a plus.
