About the position

The Sales Enablement Manager (Government) at Upwards is responsible for equipping teams that work with government agencies with the necessary tools and resources to enhance partnership-building processes, improve success rates in RFPs, and reduce the time to close deals. This role focuses on creating impactful tools and content, refining marketing strategies, and implementing initiatives to secure government partnerships effectively and efficiently. The position involves a mix of strategy development and execution, collaborating closely with marketing and sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust sales enablement strategy focusing on tools and content to support the sales process.
  • Craft high-quality, persuasive sales materials such as presentations, brochures, and product data sheets.
  • Draft compelling content that communicates the value proposition and resonates with the target audience.
  • Analyze current processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and propose targeted changes.
  • Listen in on demo calls and audit customer journeys to ensure a seamless experience for potential clients.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales enablement tools and strategies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Partner with business development representatives to understand their requests and proactively address needs.
  • Participate in strategy meetings to provide marketing insights that support sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to gather insights for refining marketing materials and strategies.
  • Work closely with product marketing and the product team to ensure sales teams have up-to-date product information.
  • Translate complex product features into clear, compelling value propositions for sales conversations.
  • Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Analyze performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of content and campaigns.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales enablement or related marketing role, primarily in B2G marketing and sales.
  • Strong expertise in creating impactful sales content and marketing collateral.
  • Expertise with B2G marketing and sales processes and challenges faced by government entities.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • A creative mindset that enjoys tackling challenges and thinking outside the box.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and embrace change.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning and growing in the marketing field.
