Responsibilities

  • Assist Barnhart Sales Team in creating innovative heavy-lift/heavy-transport solutions.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and risk assessment during solution development.
  • Optimize methods to increase job efficiency, reduce project costs, and minimize risk exposure.
  • Select innovative Barnhart equipment to enhance competitive advantage.
  • Conduct Next Best Alternative (NBA) analysis for pricing strategy.
  • Perform jobsite walkdowns with Barnhart Sales lead to gather information for solution development.
  • Provide project engineering support to awarded work, including design parameter creation and equipment layout drawings.
  • Maintain regular communication with project, field, and customer teams.
  • Develop understanding of the heavy rigging and transportation industry, including equipment knowledge and competitor analysis.
  • Familiarize with skills and qualifications of Branch Personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline from ABET accredited institution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, etc).
  • Exposure to AutoDesk Suite - AutoCad, Inventor, Navisworks.
  • Experience with MathCad and RISA 3D.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Cisco Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience in team leadership capacity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine corrective actions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $60-70K/year
